Introduction

Wecome to the 2010 Annual Report of WFSA

As you will read in the reports that follow this has been a stimulating and busy year for the WFSA. We have held our obligatory face-to-face Interim meeting of the Executive Committee in London this March during which a huge amount of work was achieved.
As well as continuing with our daily work in Education, Publication, Safety and Quality of Practice, WFSA has embarked upon its most far reaching plan ever with its leadership of the Global Oximetry project which we believe will have a huge impact on patient safety around the world.

Every Committee within our large structure has been rejuvinated with new enthusiasm, new people and more exciting innovations and projects.

This is your World Federation; enjoy reading our reports and then think what you might do as individuals or groups to move our current work forward or send us your ideas on better things to do. We constantly seek to reflect your needs and wishes as we continue to strive to improve our services to patients araound the world; let us know what else we could do.
Please feel free to download, translate and propagate our work amongst your members.
We are looking forward to seeing you all at our next World Congress in Buenos aires in Argentina in 2012; you need to be there so start making your plans early.
